Who we are

We take an Alt. view on hospitality, defying expectations and altering each experience beyond the usual.

We are Alt. Hospitality Group. The name might be new, but we've been backdropping your most memorable get-togethers since 1962.

Born as the Illawarra Catholic Club, we've grown from a local social hub in southern Sydney to a hospitality leader, with venues spanning Sydney-wide.

From elevated club experiences to boutique mountain stays, you'll find a little "Wow!" at every turn.

From championing inclusive spaces, and supporting local initiatives, to fostering hospitality excellence through considered career roadmaps, nurturing the continued growth of our Alt. community is at the core of everything we do.

Wedding venues in Sydney's south & the mountains

Couples can choose between waterfront and mountain settings for their big day. At Georges River 16ft Sailing Club in Sandringham, floor-to-ceiling glass frames the water for ceremonies and receptions, while Hotel Mountain Heritage in Katoomba offers a boutique Blue Mountains backdrop with on-site accommodation for guests. Every wedding is supported by tailored catering, styling and a dedicated coordinator.

Corporate event venues & conference rooms

For business, our corporate event venues in Hurstville and Menai range from boardroom-style conference rooms at Travelodge Hurstville to auditoriums seating up to 1,000 guests at Club Central. Conferences, AGMs, training days, awards nights and EOFY parties are all delivered with modern audiovisual, flexible floor plans and catering to match. Sutherland Shire and St George businesses will find a room sized for every meeting.

Retreats & accommodation in the Blue Mountains

When an event calls for an overnight escape, our Blue Mountains venues combine function spaces with comfortable stays. The Falls Retreat and Hotel Mountain Heritage are ideal for company offsites, leadership retreats and weekend weddings, giving guests a seamless stay just steps from where they celebrate.

Yes. Georges River 16ft Sailing Club at Sandringham offers waterfront function spaces, including the Waterview, Parkview and Horizon rooms, with floor-to-ceiling glass and sweeping water views.

The Auditorium at Club Central Hurstville is our largest event space, with a maximum capacity of 1,000 guests for conferences, weddings and large-scale functions.
