From humble beginnings as the Illawarra Catholic Club, with the support of our amazing members, our team and the community, we’ve grown into one of Sydney’s hospitality leaders. And while the name might be new, we’ve been the backdrop to your best get-togethers since 1962. 

Our new name, Alt. Hospitality Group, represents our commitment to delivering alternative take on hospitality. From creating inclusive spaces to delivering wow-worthy experiences, we aim to defy expectations and bring joy to every moment. Whether you’re enjoying an elevated club experience, a boutique mountain stay, or a corporate event, you’ll see our passion for altering the ordinary.

What’s not changing? Your favourite venues and our commitment to making every visit unforgettable. Our Club Central venues at Hurstville and Menai will retain their iconic names, alongside Georges River 16Ft Sailing Club, and our other much loved hospitality venues: Above 8, Hotel Mountain Heritage, and The Falls Mountain Retreat, as part of the new Alt. Hospitality Group umbrella. Meanwhile, our events business, Southern Sydney Event Centre, is evolving into Alt. Events, offering an exciting new name for our dynamic events and conferencing business that now spans southern Sydney and the Blue Mountains.
